How to Manage an RFP Process Using Our Template

“RFP” redirects here. For other uses, see RFP (disambiguation).

For information about Wikipedia proposals, see Wikipedia:Village pump (proposals). In Wikipedia, “RFP” may refer to Wikipedia:Requests for page protection or Wikipedia:Requests for permissions.

A request for proposal (RFP) is a document that solicits proposal, often made through a bidding process, by an agency or company interested in procurement of a commodity, service, or valuable asset, to potential suppliers to submit business proposals.[1] It is submitted early in the procurement cycle, either at the preliminary study, or procurement stage. • Before sending, solicit feedback. Colleagues can help you make sure your RFP is detailed, clear, and asks the proper questions.
  • Make things as simple as possible for respondents. Create a response form so that respondents supply you with all of the information you want right away, in the correct format—without any back and forth.
  • Templates help you save time. Rather than recreating the wheel, save time by using templates throughout the business based on the sorts of RFPs you’re putting out.
  • Control actionable emails. So you don’t miss or lose track of critical information in your inbox, convert actionable emails with responses into Asana projects with deadlines and context.
